Johan Matthaus Jung immigrated from the Palatinate of Germany to Ulster County, New York about 1710 and married twice. His grandchildren changed the surname to Young. Rufus Rennington Young (1814-1895) was of the fourth generation, and moved from New York to Iowa. Descen- dants lived in Iowa, Ohio, Indiana, Arkansas, Texas and elsewhere.

据信本族一世祖于氏来自山西洪洞。史载自明初洪武六年（1373年）到永乐十五年（1417年），近半个世纪中，从山西向外地移民17次，每次数百户，甚至上万户，前后人数达到100万以上共八百余姓，于姓亦在其中。
按本谱十九世于春荣生于1914年，以每世三十年计算，十五世于贵应生于1794年前后。由此上溯14世计420年，则本谱一世祖生年应在1374年左右，此正当明洪武年间，其时朝廷移民政策已开始施行。

我徐氏始祖伯益辅佐大禹治水有功封为徐姓，传承140多世，距今4000多年。
我们鲁西南山西派徐氏于明朝洪武年间，自山西省洪洞县大槐树〉，一世祖(始迁祖尊为一世祖)九成九德九功九思九岭(兄弟五人)东迁，九成公定居东平张城，九德、九功、九思定居汶上，九岭定居寿张。我祖岭公岳母许氏膝下只有一女，我祖不忍弃之，带岳母随迁鲁西南，后来由二世祖(岭公长子)学寅带姥娘迁居徐桥。

三子学寅、学干、学震分三地定居，
字辈:世传永清万德淑隆长兴光裕承先志守道昌季昆东海华宗懋南州士泽延丰功铭金石骏业耀丹青。
